Don't miss these places when you visit Austria in winter!

Austria's majestic Alps are a haven for hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter, and the lakes and lush river valleys are a great place to relax and engage in a variety of water sports. Don't miss these attractions when you come to Austria in winter.

Winter in the Ootsdam: The Tyrolean Peaks

In the picturesque Ötztal, winter lasts from October until May of the following year. There are more than 250 peaks with an altitude of more than 3,000, towering around the first-class ski areas of Sölden, Gurgl and Hochoetz. Because of its high altitude, the area is always snow-capped. But in addition to piste-related programs, the Ötztal offers visitors a variety of activities, including ski mountaineering and snowshoe hiking, as well as sessions of pure relaxation.

Zell am See-Kaprun: a trio of glaciers, mountains and lakes

In the year-round resort of Zell am See-Kaprun, glaciers, peaks and lakes combine to create an Alpine landscape of all kinds, and Zell am See-Kaprun is a unique natural paradise located near the Gautauen National Park. With a wide range of activities, summer and winter adventures, there is something for everyone: sports lovers, enthusiastic vacation organizers, families and individuals who want to relax and unwind.

One of the attractions is Peakworld 3000, located on top of the Kiezteinhorn glacier, the only iceberg ski area in Salzburger, home of the Maiskogel House and one of the peaks near Mount Schmittenheu. The crystal-clear Zell am See gently swells on one side, and there is a multi-award-winning 36-hole golf course to explore.

In winter, Zell am See-Kaprun becomes one of Austria's most attractive snow sports destinations. Some ice enthusiasts can tackle 408 kilometers of snowy slopes, and with the Alpine Ski Card under the ticketing union, you can also experience glacier skiing. Every sport organized and every cuisine cooked by the local people carries the taste of tradition and antiquity.Ironman 70.3 and Groß glockner Ultra Trail also attract people from all over the world to enjoy the mesmerizing scenery of the mountains.

Dachstein-Salzkammergut: a winter paradise of freedom

The Dachstein mountain resort in the Salzkammergut region consists of four towns - Bad Goisern, Gosau, Hallstatt and Obertraun - with a strong resort atmosphere, breathtakingly magnificent scenery and countless snow sports facilities.

Inner Salzkammergut is a snow-covered winter paradise, with snow-capped mountains and woods dressed in white, so white they glow in the sun. The village houses along the road can also serve you delicious food.

Mozart Snowpark: Austria's largest ski paradise

Austria's largest ski paradise offers 760 km of well-prepared runs and 270 up-to-date lifts in a breathtaking mountain panorama in the middle of the Alps, where you can discover all five areas of the Mozart Snowpark: Salzburger Sportworld, Schladming-Dachstein, Garstein, Höchkönigs and Big Al with just one ski pass.

It is called a ski paradise because of the wide range of experiences in the area: snow parks, fun runs, fun shuttles where the excitement level of the whole family soars, gourmet experiences for all foodies, exclusive "Make My Day" moments and high-level sports and music events.
