Jeju Island unique food

In addition to the above, Jeju Island's specialties include scallops, black pork, abalone porridge and sea urchin, or steak and abalone hot pot. Some restaurants add a little ginseng for a stronger and more nourishing flavor.

Jeju is famous for its scallops, which are not only available in restaurants, but can also be bought in supermarkets as a convenient and ready-to-eat dish. In Woljeong-ri and Nyu Island, there are small restaurants run by sea maids, offering some fresh seafood made delicacies, such as abalone porridge, which is delicious.
