Come and feel the pilgrimage on foot in Spain

The Pilgrimage Route to Santiago de España is a soul cleansing journey for devout Catholic believers, with countless churches, relics, and stories left by countless religious sages along the way.

The Pilgrimage Route of Santiago de España is one of the only two route-type World Heritage sites in the world, and is known as one of the three major pilgrimage routes along with the Jerusalem Route and the Roman Route. It was blazed by countless pilgrims a thousand years ago, and many hikers consider it a once-in-a-lifetime trail!

The pilgrimage route we are going to talk about today ends in Santiago, a city in the northwest of Spain, and it has thousands of routes. Today we will talk about six of the most famous routes.

Route 1: [The Northern Road / Napoleon's Road]

Route: San Sebastian-Santiago de Compostela

Distance: about 800 km

The Northern Route is one of the most treacherous routes among the Spanish pilgrimage routes, but also has the best scenery. The beautiful azure coastline extends all the way, with the mountains and the sea, it is not only an endless companionship but also an endless silence.

Route 2 :[The French Way]

Route: St-Jean-Pied-de-Port-Santiago de Compostela

Distance: about 764 km

From the Pyrenees to the end of the world - Cape Finisterre, a true journey from the mountains to the sea. Experience the unique culture of the Cascilla region, where the world's most elastic  octopus and the most magical flames are found. Pass through a dozen of the world's "most" cultural heritage, the oldest monasteries, cultural cities, natural and historical sites.

Route 3: [The Road to the End of the World]

Route: Santiago de Compostela - Finisterre

Distance: about 141 km

From Santiago de Compostela, continue northwest to Finisterre, known as the end of the world, where, according to legend, travelers who arrive in Finisterre must burn their clothes and sleep on the beach overnight, so that your sins will be washed and forgiven, and you will be reborn and become a new you the next day.

Route 4: [The Road to England]

Route:Ferrol / A Coruña - Santiago de Compostela

Distance: about 150km

Although only a short 150km, you can see the beautiful coastline along the way, and will continue to cross the mountain trails, all the way is a good time, is the best choice for travelers with limited vacation.

Route 5 :[Portugal Road]

Route: Porto - Santiago de Compostela

Distance: about 300 km

The Portuguese Way should strictly be calculated from Lisbon, but from Lisbon all the way to Porto, there are more gravel roads, the scenery is also more general, hiking is more likely to produce fatigue, so it is recommended to start from Porto to Santiago.

Route 6 :[Silver Road / Southern Road]

Route: Sevilla - Santiago de Compostela

Distance: 1,000 km

From Sevilla, you can travel all the way through the north and south of Spain and enjoy all the flavors.
